A women from Wake Forest, North Carolina managed to win not one, but two lottery tickets…in the same day! This was according to the North Carolina Education Lottery
Her name is Kimberly Morris. Morris had bought a $20.00 scratcher and made $10,000. Morris then took her tickets to the lottery headquarters, which is based out of Raleigh. On the way home with her whopping $10,000, Morris decided to stop and buy another ticket…and this one was even bigger.
She had bought one of the one of the Diamond Dazzler game’s six $1-million top-prize winners. After really hitting it big, Morris called her husband John.
“She was freaking out on the phone,” John told the lottery. “I couldn’t understand her, so I told her to slow down. When I realized what she was saying, I didn’t believe her at first. I had to come home and see it for myself.”
Morris took the big payout option, meaning that she took home exactly $417,012…sadly after taxes. Kimberly told lottery “officials,” that she plans to give some of the money to her kids and invest the rest of the money.
